Gallery Three
The seaside pictures were the result of a weekend trip to the Norfolk coast, particularly Cromer, with which I immediately felt an affinity. The series of pictures was produced in embryo within days of returning, bases on sketches and photographs, but mainly from memory and imagination.
The seaside is still intensely evocative of my childhood and teenage years, working on the East coast and these pictures evoke for me, something of the magic and strangeness of the seaside environment
